"GSA'S NEW VENTURES PROGRAM CATCHES MARKET ATTENTION"
GSA - the Global mobile Suppliers Association - reports a rapidly growing membership for its New Ventures Program (NVP), launched in February 2001 to provide a forum for new companies in wireless data content and applications development, with the membership now totalling 25 companies from around the world. Under the banner of GSA's NVP, the partner companies bring together a combination of innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurial skills, which will help to formulate the products, software and technology, that wireless service providers will need in order to deliver future Internet-based, interactive and mobile commerce services.
As part of its NVP initiative, GSA is hosting a Pavilion at the IBC Mobile Internet 2001 Paris event from 19-21st September, providing an ideal strategic opportunity for the promotion of products and services to an anticipated audience of some 5000 attendees. Joining the line-up in the GSA NVP Pavilion are Antenova, ExtraTainment, Hotsip, Magic4, MobileAware and Smartner Information Systems.
Through NVP, innovative start-up companies - typically small organisations with limited resources - are able to tap the accumulated experience, expertise and market access of the global mobile supplier community. At the same time, NVP members can gain greater visibility within these larger market circles. Created as an evolutionary concept, GSA has concentrated on ensuring that NVP genuinely reflects its members' needs, establishing an aggressive schedule of activities, a regular dialogue process and constant feedback.
GSA's New Ventures Program currently comprises the following partners: 3G Mobilize, Akumiitti, Antenova, Bluefish Technologies, Cash-U, DigiPlug, ExtraTainment, Hotsip, Infocell Telecom, Magic4, Measuresoft Development, MobileAware, Mobile-Mind, Mobilotech, mPrest Technologies, NavigateOne, Ossidian Technologies, Pango Systems, Qositel, SensibleGroup, Smartner Information Systems, Speedwise, Telemessage, ts.com, Vision Inc.
