JUKKA NOROKORPI FROM TEAMWARE JOINS SMARTNER AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL OPERATIONS

The Finnish mobile software company Smartner Information Systems Ltd. has appointed M.Sc. Jukka Norokorpi, 52, Senior Vice President of International Operations. Norokorpi most recently served Teamware Group as Vice Chairman of the Board and prior to that as President and CEO of the company.

As Senior Vice President at Smartner, Norokorpi will be responsible for leading the company to international operator markets. “The innovativeness of Smartner in mobile technology, as well as the apparent expertise and spiritedness of both the management and the employees encouraged me to accept Smartner’s offer,” says Norokorpi.

Norokorpi has long-term international experience in computer and software business. From 1996 to 2000, he was President and CEO of Teamware Group, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd., and between 4/2000–3/2001 he served the company as Vice Chairman of the Board. Prior to that, Norokorpi has held managerial positions in various divisions of Nokia and ICL both in Finland and abroad for over twenty years. Along with his current job at Smartner, Norokorpi works as a consultant in the ICT programme of Invest Finland Bureau under the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
