SMARTNER APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Kari Vuorihovi to spearhead international expansion in the mobile enterprise solutions market
Smartner, the European leader in mobile email and office solutions, today announced that Kari Vuorihovi has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of UK operations. Kari will drive Smartner's ongoing international business expansion, with responsibility for financial management, mergers and acquisitions.
Kari Vuorihovi has over 18 years' experience in financial management and new business development for a number of leading global companies, including Fujitsu, ICL and Nokia. Most recently he acted as the Finance Director of the Juxto Group and ICT Country Manager of Sonera Juxto in UK.
"Following our acquisition earlier this year of the UK based software company Commtag, Smartner is executing an aggressive drive to further expand its business and increase its share of the mobile email market across Europe," said Paul Hedman, CEO of Smartner. "Kari's extensive experience in international mergers and acquisitions will prove invaluable in this process."
