SMARTNER, HANDANGO AND OPENBIT LAUNCH ALWAYS-ON MAIL FOR INDIVIDUAL SUBSCRIBERS

The winner of 3GSM 2003 Award for Best Corporate Wireless Application now available globally for individual users


Cambridge, England and Helsinki, Finland - 25 February 2004: Smartner, the European leader in mobile email and office solutions, today announced global availability of Smartner Duality Professional, an Always-on Mail solution for individual users. Smartner Duality Professional is available by credit card purchase in most countries in the world, and for mobile subscribers of close to 70 operators in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Australia, China, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, with a rapidly growing coverage.

Smartner Duality Professional extends access to Microsoft® Outlook™ and Lotus Notes to PDAs and smartphones. It automatically pushes new emails to the mobile device without any user interaction, and provides users with complete control over their desktop functions while away from their office. Users can access their desktop functions in real-time, with all actions mirrored simultaneously on their desktop. The unique technology powering Smartner Duality enables the solution to be deployed by the user in 15 minutes without entering a single configuration at the device, making it feasible for normal non-technical users to enjoy the benefits of Always-on Mail.

Smartner Duality Professional is available for existing devices through Smartner web site (www.smartner.com), Handango (www.handango.com) and pre-installed in mobile devices purchased from various operators and retail outlets. Available plans include 30-day subscription for EUR 4 and 6-month subscription for EUR 20.
