OMA CAMBRIDGE 3G BLUETOOTH SIG

Open Mobile Alliance - OMA - is designed to be the center of mobile service standardization work, helping the creation of interoperable services across countries, operators and mobile terminals that will meet the needs of the user. The alliance was formed in June 2002 by nearly 200 companies representing the world's leading mobile operators, device & network suppliers, information technology companies and content providers.

Smartner is a member of Open Mobile Alliance in order to drive the implementation of open services and interface standards. Through OMA, we want to work towards stimulating the fast and wide adoption of a variety of new, enhanced mobile services.

Cambridge 3G aims to establish Cambridge as the leading centre in Europe for 3G services and expertise. It provides a forum in which member and associate member organisations involved in the 3rd generation mobile market can air their opinions and co-ordinate support for a future in which the users primary computing device will be mobile.

As a founder member of the Cambridge 3G Network, Smartner is seriously committed to making available stable, tested products as soon as next generation networks are deployed. We will be working with other members of the group to ensure that Smartner Duality is one of the first products to take full advantage of the advances 3G provides to the mobile data user.
The Bluetooth Special Interest Group is a trade association comprised of leaders in the telecommunications, computing, and network industries that is driving the development of a low-cost short-range wireless specification for connecting mobile products.

As an adopter member of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group, Smartner has invested effort in developing and testing our applications for use with the earliest Bluetooth product releases through to the broad spectrum of Bluetooth-enabled devices in the market today.
