Hewlett-Packard Company, founded in 1939, is a leading provider of computing and imaging solutions and services. Hewlett-Packard's Mobile E-Services Bazaar concept was launched at Telecom 99 in Geneva. The purpose of it is to enable technical, commercial and social interchange between the members of the bazaar.

Membership in the HP mobile e-services initiative provides Smartner with technical, business, marketing and sales-related support on a global scale. In return, the other members of the programme can benefit from Smartner's expertise in device-independent mobile technology.

Symbian is a software licensing company, owned by wireless industry leaders, that supplies the advanced, open, standard operating system - Symbian OS - for data-enabled mobile phones. Symbian OS drives standards for the interoperation of data-enabled mobile phones with mobile networks, content applications and services.

Smartner is partnering with Symbian to enable mobile email and corporate data services on Symbian OS phones.
